When applied to masonry it reduces and often prevents rain penetration without affecting the breathing porosity. It reduces dampness; reduces re soiling rate and algae growths. The water repellent characteristics reduce the heat losses from a building and protection can be expected for about 10 years. It is intended for use on exterior masonry surfaces above ground level and the reduced water absorption will also reduce and prevent frost damage. It is not suitable for use on plaster or on new concrete (i.e. within 1 month).
